How do I know which faucet filter is right for my home?
Choosing the right filter depends on your water source and household size. Our EcoPro and EcoPro Chrome are ideal for large households (up to 7 people) using government water, with a 1,200-liter capacity. For smaller households or single users, the EcoPro Compact is a great space-saving option. If you use well water, we recommend the Ultra filter, specifically designed for those sources.
Is it difficult to install a Tappwater filter?
Not at all! Our faucet filters are designed for easy DIY installation. You can attach them to your kitchen mixer in just a few seconds without the need for any tools. We also provide various adapters if you have a non-standard tap.
Can I still use unfiltered water for washing dishes?
Yes. All our faucet filters feature a simple switch that allows you to toggle between filtered water (for drinking, cooking, and washing vegetables) and unfiltered water (for washing dishes or cleaning), helping you prolong the life of your filter cartridge.
How often do I need to change the filter cartridges?
For the best taste and performance, we recommend changing the EcoPro and EcoPro Chrome SMR cartridges every 3 months. The EcoPro Compact should be replaced every 2 months. Regular replacement ensures you are always protected from the 100+ contaminants we filter out.
Are Tappwater filters eligible for the government grant?
Yes! Homeowners in Malta can apply for a 60% government grant on the purchase of our filtration systems. This makes switching from bottled water even more affordable. We recommend keeping your receipt and checking our grant guidelines for application.
What happens if the filter doesn't fit my tap?
It is quite unlikely but if it happens we offer a 45-day taste and fit guarantee. If for any reason the filter doesn't fit your faucet or you aren't satisfied with the taste of the water, you can return it for a full refund.
