Long lasting refills

Water quality and filtering efficiency can only be guaranteed up to a capacity of use equivalent to 6 months. If you use the refill beyond 6 months, the filtering efficiency of substances will no longer meet our quality parameters.
You should also bear in mind that activated carbon is a material of organic origin that can be a breeding ground for micro-organisms, which over time can lead to the proliferation of bacteria.

Use hot water only in the unfiltered filter position
Avoid washing the filter with soap
If you haven’t used the filter in several days, let the filtered water run for 30 seconds
Avoid exposing the filter to heat
The old refill must be disposed of in the black bag because apart from being made of coconut shells (70%), it is also made up of other materials such as UHMW (30%) and silicone parts.

Depending on your water usage and the quality of your source, an Ultra cartridge typically lasts between 3 to 6 months. It has a high filtration capacity of approximately 1,200 to 2,400 liters. To ensure maximum safety and efficiency, we recommend replacing the cartridge at least every 6 months.

The filtration efficiency and safety parameters can only be guaranteed for up to 6 months of use. Because the filter contains organic materials like activated carbon, it can eventually become a breeding ground for bacteria if left in place for too long. Timely replacement is vital to prevent bacterial proliferation and maintain water purity.

No, you should only use the Ultra filter with cold water. Hot water can damage the hollow fiber membranes and the activated carbon block, reducing their ability to remove pathogens. For washing dishes with hot water, simply switch the integrated lever on the filter unit to the "unfiltered" position.

Yes, the Ultra system is designed to be compatible with more than 95% of standard kitchen faucets found in Malta. Like our other faucet filters, it is easy to install as a DIY project, and we provide a range of adapters if your specific mixer has a non-standard thread.

Used Ultra refills should be disposed of in the general waste (black bag). While the majority of the filter consists of sustainable coconut shells (70%), it also contains technical components like the hollow fiber membrane, UHMW, and silicone parts that are not currently recyclable in standard household streams.
