Low environmental impact
Independently certified to work in Malta
The smallest and most compact filter on the market. Its measurements are: 12.2 x 6.8 x 5.8 cm
Healthy water with excellent taste thanks to the sustainable filter cartridges made from coconut shell.
Capacity to filter more than 100 substances using activated carbon technology.
EcoPro Compact allows you to consume water without generating plastic waste, minimizing environmental impact and maintaining filtering efficiency. Saves money too!
Easy to fit yourself and switch between filtered and non-filtered water.
What substances does are filtered?
Lime, chlorine (responsible for bad taste), microplastics, sand, rust and sediment, lead, mercury, salmonella, legionella, pesticides, herbicides, drug residues, nitrates and other substances> 1-2 μm (microns) keeping minerals healthy.
Why does it generate less waste?
In addition to saying goodbye to bottled water by replacing more than 1000 bottles a year, the EcoPro Compact works with “bare” refill filter cartridges. Normally the replacement water filter cartridges are encapsulated in a plastic casing, which we have replaced with two small pieces of silicone. Silicone is an inert, low-impact material that is non-toxic and breaks down into small particles that are harmless and more environmentally friendly than plastic
How long does a filter cartridge last?
Each filter cartridge is normally changed monthly and delivers up to 300 Litres of filtered water. If you are using less than 300 Litres of water your filter cartridge may last longer, but filters are never used for more than 3 months.
Up to 3L per day - change your filter cartridge every 3 months (€2.72 a month)
3L to 6L per day - change your filter cartridge every 2 months (€4.08 a month)
Up to 10L per day - change your filtercartridge every month (€7.35 a month)
How does the filter cartridge work?
EcoPro Compact filter cartridge incorporates an activated carbon filtration system with its own anti-limescale technology. Filtration occurs in 5 stages:
Stage 1. Polypropylene wrap This envelops the carbon block and filters out larger microorganisms, sediment, rust, scale particles, and other impurities. It also protects the carbon block from being contaminated by human hands when changing it.
Stage 2: Activated Carbon Adsorption Organic Activated Carbon removes chlorine, chlorine by-products (VOC, THM, HAAS, etc.), taste, odor, pesticides, herbicides, PFAS, and more than 80 contaminants. It also reduces heavy metals like lead, copper, mercury, and more.
Stage 3: Carbon Block Microfiltration The carbon block is highly compressed to prevent particles larger than 1 to 2 microns from passing through. This prevents, for example, all microplastics, suspended particles and most bacteria from passing through the filter. It also prevents most of the pipe corrosion particles and bacteria from passing through.
Stage 4: Inhibition of lime and heavy metals This is a proprietary formula used within the carbon block that breaks down the mineral to prevent limescale build-up and further reduce heavy metals. A refill of EcoPro Compact reduces limescale by 80% for up to 3 months.
Stage 5: Strainer Mesh Filters hair, sand, dirt, and other impurities from pipes.
Will it fit my mixer in the kitchen?
TAPP EcoPro Compact fits most mixers in Malta after removing the aerator in the mixer. If you mixer has threads on the outside you can fix the EcoPro Compact directly and with threads on the inside it is easily fixed by using the adapter supplied. We also have a range of adapters for special situations, but mostly these are unnecessary. We can also supply assistance with fitting if you need it.
